Abstract

We measure the cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) concentrations of neuron-specific enolase(NSE) using radioimmunoassay methods in 10 patients with Guillain-Barre syndrome and 10 controls and examined their grading scales and prognostic values. All
patients
showed elevated levels(> the mean+2SD levels of controls) of NSE.
